Electricians work with a hazard you cannot see. A panel looks the same live or dead. Then add the rest of the day: pulling wire overhead, drilling through studs, working in attics and crawl spaces, and handing tools up to a helper who is new.

This pack is for electrical contractors, journeymen and the apprentices who follow them. It starts with the electrical hazard and the control of energy, then moves to the cords, tools and eye protection that cause most small injuries, and ends with the fall and fire hazards every shop shares. Each kit is cited to the OSHA paragraph.

The 10 kits and why each one is in this pack

  1. 01

    Electrical safety

This is the core kit for the trade. It walks through cords, GFCIs, overhead lines, wet locations and who may touch what, so the trainer can set the ground rules for qualified and unqualified people before anyone opens a panel.

  2. 02

    Lockout/tagout (LOTO)

Before an electrician touches a feeder, a motor circuit or a rooftop unit, the energy has to be off and stay off. This kit gives the trainer the lock, tag and verify routine, and a way to talk about the helper who flips a breaker back on.

  3. 03

    Extension cord safety

Temporary power on a job runs through cords that get stepped on, pinched in doors and left in puddles. This kit teaches your crew to choose, inspect and place cords, and gives the trainer a damaged-cord check to do on the spot.

  4. 04

    Ladder safety

Electricians climb to reach fixtures, boxes and junctions, often with a tool belt and both hands busy. This kit focuses on non-conductive rails and setup near live work, and gives the trainer a short quiz on who picks the ladder.

  5. 05

    Power tool safety

Hammer drills, saws and cordless drivers do the work in framing and conduit runs. This kit helps the trainer cover guards, grounding and cord condition, and the habit of unplugging before changing a bit, which new helpers often skip.

  6. 06

    Eye and face protection

Drilling overhead drops dust and metal shavings right into the face, and an arc flash does worse. This kit gives the trainer a clear way to show which eye protection fits which task, and why prescription glasses are not enough.

  7. 07

    Hand safety

Stripping wire, pulling cable and cutting conduit put hands near blades and sharp edges all day. This kit covers cuts, pinch points and glove choice for people who also need to feel a small terminal, so the trainer can talk through the trade-offs.

  8. 08

    Fire extinguishers

A bad splice or an overloaded circuit can start a fire in a wall. This kit teaches your crew where extinguishers go, which type is right for electrical fires, and when to fight and when to leave.

  9. 09

    Working at heights

Lighting, cable tray and rooftop equipment put electricians above the floor on lifts and platforms. This kit helps the trainer cover surfaces, openings and fall protection for work that is not a roofer's, but still has an edge.

  10. 10

    Slips, trips and falls

Wire spools, scrap conduit and cords across a corridor are everyday trip hazards on an electrical job. This kit closes the pack with housekeeping habits your crew can fix in a minute, before someone carrying a coil goes down.

How to use the pack

Teach the electrical hazard and lockout kits first, in the same week, because everything else depends on them. Then give one kit at the start of each weekly meeting through the rest of the month or quarter. Use the quiz to find who needs a second look, and file the certificates with each person's training record.

  • 10 full training kits for the trade (editable PowerPoint, trainer guide, quiz, sign-in sheet, certificate)
  • English and Spanish in every kit
  • A one-page poster per topic
  • Fill in your crew: audit-ready records in 60 seconds
